BEST WAY TO CLEAN S/S MUZZLELOADER?

I own a KNIGHT 50 CAL WOLVERINE STAINLESS STEEL BARREL. i have been scrubbing my barrel in the shower with dish soap. Is this a good method? I also need to know the best cleaner to use? And is it okay to spray the gun down with G96 TRIPLE ACTION GUN TREATMENT. Also is this a good starter muzzleloader. I have bow/rifled my entire life. Have fired this gun 14 times and love it.

Yeah the knights are good guns for beginners or advanced muzzleloaders. I use a little soapy water to clean mine with. Then I just use hoppes oils my self.

Windex is a good cleaner for inlines. I like using hot water and dish soap in my sidelock because it goes all the way through the nipple and flushes that area out pretty well. But with an inline you can just use straight windex.

SO YOU DONT HAVE TO DO A COMPLETE stripe down everytime you shoot these things? I can just pour stuff down the pipe?

Always taken them apart :twocents: There is stuff all threw the gun, and if you don't get it off. It can cause missfires and loads you can't get to go off. Always clean your gun at the end of the day. :tup:

Yes, you'll want to clean the nipple and all the little nooks and crannies where the powder blows back and turns everything black. That's actually the hardest part. The inside of the bore is a piece of cake. The rest of it is what takes time. Which is why I sold my inline and now only have a sidelock. It's much simpler to clean.
