Fishing or superbowl?
« on: February 03, 2011, 04:12:46 PM »
Who's going fishing instead of watching the "big game"?  3 buds and I are going sturgeon fishing.  We'll go back up river if the wind is calm, but might end up closer to home.  Either way.  WE"LL be FISHING!!!

Good choice.   I'm going to watch the UFC fight saturday night, not to worried about the superbowl.

If the wind is calm, we will be down there in the same area. Its not looking good with gusts up to 30 on saturday though.

Why waste your time watching a game where the players are over paid whiners, can't get a D grade, fight dogs, kill their wives, can't speak english hardly ? I hate sports for 1 reason and I just let you know.

What site do you have the most faith in the wind forecast?  I'm looking at weatherunderground and it don't look too bad for sunday.  Saturday wouldn't be too much fun.

I'd consider sturgeon fishing if they were closer to home, but probably I'll be shed hunting. Whos playing anyway?

Right on jab.  My buddies tried to fish it tuesday, but couldn't hold.  Caught three while they drug the anchor.

Stoopid bowl ALL weeked and then steelheadding during the week!  My cousin spent tuesday catching and releasing fish most of the day on the Chehalis.  He brought home one hatchery hen that went 15-16 pounds.

I stopped watching the superbowl over ten years ago and haven't looked back since.  I found out that Skiing, Fishing, Shed hunting, etc. is waaaaaaay more enjoyable than the couch potatoe thing.  The added plus is the smaller crowds on that day.

I watch the superbowl every year.  Must admit I love pro-football.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

Now they are calling for a lil higher west wind.  Might make it more interesting.  We'll probably still give it a shot and if it's too ugly come back down to calmer waters.

I need a job as a weatherman.  You can be 100% wrong and still keep your job.
