If you look real close there are actually 4 Woodies, one is a hen in the lower portion of the picture.  Just amazing is all I can say.  John

Wonderful picture.  Each one is in a different stroke of the wing beat all in sequence.  One of the best waterfowl photos I've seen.  It almost looks unreal.

any river with heavily wooded areas and small ponds like beaver ponds probably has wood ducks.
