Remington 700 SPS in 300 RUM
« on: February 13, 2011, 09:44:56 PM »
I found a local shop selling the Remington 700 (ADL?) SPS in the 300 RUM caliber, it was a great price ($399) wiith a not so great scope, but the rings looked ok.  They had the tag on the gun as an ADL, but I can't find anything on the Remington website in this caliber as an ADL, but the low end they have listed is a SPS.

I have been shopping for this caliber rifle, but dont know anything about this model rifle, found some mixed reviews online, but nothing to sway me either way.

Any input if the gun is worth buying?  Seems really cheap compared to other manufactures.

Thanks for your help

I would verify the model and then if it is an SPS buy it before someone else beats you to it.   :twocents:

That might be the confusion at this place, perhaps Remington has changed and gotten away from the ADL name.

This place is a chain store, so the guy behind the counter knew nothing about the ADL.

A few of the reviews online said the ADL's have had some quality issues, but hard to resist this caliber for a good price.
