Roseburg, Or. Turkey Hunting
« on: February 16, 2011, 02:40:14 PM »
I'm thinking about going on a guided Turkey hunt around Roseburg, Or. the first week of May this year.  I've researched it some and seems like there quite a few birds and one site I looked at claims it has the highest density of Rio's/square mile in the West.  I'm wondering if anyone has hunted down there or have any thoughts??

I've driven through there a bunch but only on I-5 and have never hunted it.  I've yet to kill a Rio and you can get 3 in the Spring in that area.  Thanks!

There are a ton of turkeys down there.  I've never hunted them, but there are a lot there.

I have hunted down there and killed 2 huge Toms. Who is the guide you are thinking about using?

Great Hunting for Rios.  And some monster toms as well.  Good Luck!

Great hunting down there for Turkey.  Another good area is around Riddle and Canyonville.
