A Kodiak bear hunt
« on: May 14, 2008, 07:50:11 PM »
Ok guys here is what $16,000 might get you on a Kodiak Island Brown Bear hunt. My buddy has been an assistant guide there for over 10 years.
1st picture is a 10'1" squared, 28 1/8" skull
2nd picture is a 9'6" squared, 27 1/4" skull
3rd picture is a 10'4" squared, 29" skull
4th picture is a 10'1" squared, 28" skull

That's pretty darn impressive!  Care to loan me $16K for a bowhunt?  I'll name you a beneficiary in the life insurance policy.  Someday I'll get up there with the stick and string for those brutes, but it's going to need to be someone else footing the bill before I can feel ok with the cost.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Yea a few years back he guided the son of the Reverend Sun Myung Moon. He also guided this one Japanese buisness man who shot a decent Brownie. It cost him over $20,000 to have a full mount done and shipped over to Japan. Some people have money to burn and figure it's going to eat a hole in their pocket.
