.36 colt
« on: May 14, 2008, 09:15:22 PM »
Anyone shoot a percussion revolver?  I have a little .36 cal colt replica that I intend to carry as a sidearm come ML season (since Olympia won’t allow a modern weapon).  It’s a good shooter, the only problem is that the crushed cap fragments, and pieces get lodged between the cylinder and the frame, then work their way down into the trigger mechanism.  If I remember to point the barrel up before cocking between shots most of the pieces fall away, but some stick on the nipples and gum up the works.

Not sure what to do to correct this.  Any ideas?

I always give her nipples a warm bubble bath when I’m done stroking them.

i have the same revolver my friend.. ive always done this little trick, and have never noticed the problems you are having. maybe it will work,, i smear the whole back of the cylnder and recoil sheild with crisco,, i believe this will help maybe, but i primarily do it to stop chain fire

Thanks for that suggestion; I’ll give it a try.  I grease the front of the cylinders to prevent chain fires but I’ve never greased the back.
