Coyotes Near Burke Lake
« on: March 01, 2011, 09:13:34 PM »
I'll be over there on a fishing trip in early april and was considering taking the yote hunting supplies. Is there any where there to hunt and is it worth it? I've never been so i'm not familiar with the area and i dont want to pack the gear if it's just going to sit in the truck the whole time.

What are the dates that your going to be there? Were going the April 6-11. We always hear a lot of yotes and night and even saw a fox there 2 years ago. Never have hunted yotes there though.

That area gets hunted pretty hard both day and night. There's one guy that actually has a pickup like the guys in Texas use with the platform and chair in back that night hunts it a lot, so most the coyotes there are a little shy, but you might get a couple of coyotes out of there. We quit hunting it because of all the foot traffic from nature hikers and horseback riders there all the time.
