I have two of the Tasco's that you can get for $40 each, and they work just fine for daytime pictures, but you'll be disappointed with the night pictures. The flash just doesn't have enough range. Mine have been working out pretty well for me though, because I have them in locations (bedding areas) where most of the activity is during the day.I also have two Moultrie D40's and they work very well. The only downside is the size and they take 6 D batteries so they're pretty heavy. You'll get about 6 to 8 weeks out of the batteries which isn't bad. You can get the D50 at Cabelas for $80 (it's the same as the D40's I have except 5 megapixels rather than 4).

I have bought cheep camera's before and they barley last a season and pictures are not that great. I now have two of the cudde back 3.0 flash camera's and they are great. Battery life is great, easy to run and have lasted for 3 seasons so far.
How long is the battery life on the tascos?
