20" wide 4x4 high country blacktail. Might be awhile before he gets a bigger one. Says he'll shoot a spike opening day if he sees one.

 This was the only high country buck we've ever got out whole. He was only about 1.5 miles and 2,000' up off of an old road. We drug (rolled) him down a shale chute. Field dressed at 230 lbs. I've only killed three blacktails with bigger bodies.

What a buck! Congrats to both!  I love the father/son/daughter pics.  That's what it's all about. My daughter similar a few years back at 11, 18 inch 3x3 for her first buck. Lifelong memories....
