The problem is there is one person on this site that knows where already. He is not hunting the area for spring bear. Oh, yeah, the gamies also would not like it if you are packing a rifle near two cases of apples and 100lbs of wet cobb. I checked and didn't see anything to indicate mr bear was eating on it.

If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.

Nope. I've been playing around with apples and a trail cam in the area for deer. Just don't want anybody hunting the spot for bear. If it was further away I'd glady provide the location to a spring tag holder.

I believe you are right. I simply posted to show there is some bear activity in the general area.

This whole baiting issue is BS.. I know someone who had out a deer bait  in Sept. on game dept .land and someone walked up on it and turned him in ..long and behold not knowing someone turned him in and they where on there way to bust him for baiting he was already heading for his stand and on his way to his stand he sees a bear drinking from the river about 50 yrds from his deer bait and he luckily missed it because after all the BS he went threw; they said they found bear activity in the area and if he shoots it he will be busted for baiting .. So what do you do if you are baiting deer and happen to see a bear ?  :bdid:

I can tell you what I'll be doing.....hunting fall bear in a different area than I'm baiting for deer. I won't ever be in the area with a hunting weapon until deer season. Then...for overlap...I guess unless I violate the law people should mind their own business. I know there are plenty of people that may think it is their business to police me but since I have nothing to hide I'll just keep on keeping on. I've even posted a pm or two to folks with the Monroe tag to ask the general area they will be hunting. That way, they won't accidently be hunting near bait without even knowing it.

Hmm, I wonder. He wouldn't hunt over bait but may have an edge if he hunts deer.
