If you have seen my thread in the deer section regarding my bait station you will know as much as I do. Not much. I've seen only one pile of scat and heard one in the brush. Nothing new in the last couple of weeks. Also, with all the cob, apples, cracked corn, and more apples I would know if there is much action in the area I've been hiking. I'll pm you if I see anything while out in the next week or two.

You're hunting up by Granit right?  Maybe send D-Rock a message. He knows alot abou the area and had a Monroe tag last season.

If I can tag along with someone I could show them a spot or two.

Ya and blindfold them on the way in and way out, to keep it your secret spot. i havent been out this year but in a couple weeks i'll start making my rounds, i'm imagining they are off to a late start with the way the weather has been.

I checked out your spot tonight.  saw 2 deer tonight, but no bears or sign.  Neet area.  Got on top and looked back across to where I shot at the one bear and saw another guy over there with the binos.  He Shot 4 times dont know at what but he wasnt in a hurry to get down the mountain.  If I get a chance I think ill try to get to the area north of mountain loop.  Guy at work said he saw one up there last week.

You could try up forest road 41. It goes for about 12 miles and has some side roads off of it. I don't know how low the snow is though. There are some good areas up there.

I have not.. because I don't have a permit. The 5000 rd would be good, or go just a little further toward Granite and walk up the Scotty rd where the gravel pit is. I remember hunting up there with my dad when I was little and seeing bears. The last time I was in there I saw one, that was a few years ago though. But there were lots of good clear cuts and very few people in there.
I hunt, therefore I am.... I fish, therefore I lie.
