The evening of opening day (October 1) after covering about 70 miles glassing cuts and checking what I thought were honey holes we stopped back at camp. I thought I should go pull a game camera that I had put out on September 11, but hadnt had a chance to yet. When I went to put the camera up in the marshy draw, there were about 40 head of cattle using it pretty heavily, and it looked like they had been in there for a while. I was a little ticked off to say the least because I had been waiting til late summer to put the camera in there because the mosquitos were so bad. When I was in there at the end of July you couldnt keep from breathing them in and I came out of there with about 100 bites in 10 - 15 minutes. I have never seen them that bad.
Anyway - on the way into the camera I found the freshest pile of moose crap I had seen all summer. I pulled the camera off the tree next to the wallow I had my camera aimed at. My buddies Jake and Beau heard some noises up the hill so we took cover over at the edge of the marsh. I pulled the SD card out of my camera fully expecting to see 300 pictures of beef cattle on it. In fact I wasnt even going to look at it except the guys said "aren't you at least going to check to see whats on it?" I told them I'm sure its nothing but a bunch of beef cows.

As soon as he posts some pics I'll ban him for this. Don't tell him though, otherwise he'll never post the pics.
Shhhh.....
