My first 2011 soak (without using a broken camera - first soak, went back and camera wasn't working). Good variety on a trail in a small reprod between two large cuts bordering deep timber.

HLS Doe

Small buck starting to grow

Another smaller buck starting to grow

Medium size sow

Small but good looking bobcat

Thanks. That's from a 10 day soak. I'm waiting for 2 others to get back from repair and then they'll go up in the same unit.

Yeah, great pics and a great location. I like the variety that is coming through that area. Once you get your other cameras you will definitely have the advantage to move around this location and set up a couple more cameras to see whats going on around you!

The bucks seem to have migrated to higher elevations, which I have regular camera spots at and just put one of two more cameras up. Still waiting for the final to get back from repair. 544 pictures - 355 of which are the grass blowing in the wind (which has grown quite high in the last 3 weeks).

check the time stamps...

I didn't get any more pictures of the "pair" after this chase, so I'm thinking the HLS yearling may have been eaten. I'll know for sure in a couple more weeks.

Bad pics, but just thought they were cool...

Yeah. I was getting regular pics of them together, and after that date I haven't. Had a few of a single doe which might have been the non-HLS one of the pair but can't be 100%. We'll see in a couple more weeks when I got back. . . if no pictures of the HLS deer I'll be positive that bear had a healthy dinner, unfortunately.

This camera is just on a trail -- kind of like a bottleneck (8-10 year old reprod) between two large recent (2-3 year) clear cuts. I do use Redmond's Trace Minerals with Selenium salt at another site that works great.

Had over 1000 pictures since I last checked my 2 cameras 3 weeks ago. Lots of does and fawns, which I'm glad to see. A few bucks, but I'm nearly 100% positive most of the bucks are higher elevation right now but migrate down to this area during the season...specifically because their are lots of does in the area

Also anyone that saw the pictures from 3 weeks ago where the bear was chasing the two deer. I believe my suspicion was correct. I have not had another picture of the small doe with hair loss syndrome after that chase. She's probably been eaten. Well, the plus side is it was one with the HLS.
