Nice picture. Definatly checking for calves, bears get a lot of calves and fawns, I've watched them get both.

  ya know after lookin at this picture a few times something does not seem right here.. never seen elk this close to a bear and I think it was photo shopped ...just look close at the elk !!!

I know that paticular location.  I have seen a couple bears in it including the BIG ONE.  Here is a photo of that one I took 5-6 years ago.  He is a PIG!!  And I Guarantee it isn't photo shopped because I have seen it too.  Bears pay absolutely no attention to the Elk at this spot.

That bear looks like a toad! Looks like a professional calf and fawn killer to me.

There are a few Cougars in this area too.  They pick off quite a few of the Elk.
