#1 Hoyt maxxis 35
#2 Bowtech 82nd airborne
I haven't spent much time behind it but I think when I do the carbon matrix will take the #1 spot.

seems to be a running theme here Bowtech...but when u ask which bow to buy everyone is MAthews,Pse and hoyt... I have owned bows from almost every manufacturer..I had a Bowtech extreme vft and I feel this wa the most solid shooting bow I had ever owned..I now shoot a Pse x-force which is a close second

Hoyt Vectrix. Its about 6 years old. I like it better than my Hoyt Alpha max which is newer.

I've shot many bows over the last 30 years and loved most of them. It's how well YOU shot the bow that matters.
Right now I have the Mathews Rivel Pro and the Mathews Reezen.  I like the Rivel Pro best.

mathews switchback

Hard to beat that draw cycle and shock.  It's a bow that a guy could have for 30 years and not need to buy into the faster hype since it hits hard enough to take anything on the planet.

I shot a Hoyt Spectra/FastFlite for 12 years.  Every last one of my buddies in the industry started calling me "Old School" and urged me to change.  They all thought I was crazy as I had the ability to shoot anything I wanted.  I took at least 30 animals in that 12 years and only missed two that I can recall.  Sure wish my success ratio was that good today.

I workout everyday now getting ready for a Dall sheep hunt in NWT.  That bow hangs right beside my elliptical.  Each time my aging heart rate raises above 140 I think it starts calling to me "Take Me!  Take Me!  Take Me!"  I have about seven other bows, newer, faster, lighter all hanging there too.  But, none of them ever say a word to me in my dazed pre-stroke hallucination.  That baby sure loves to kill animals.  I just might have to dust her off and head north.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."
