Pheasant mount question
« on: June 15, 2011, 09:56:54 PM »
I just got my rooster mount back about a week ago and I have it hanging in a flying pose with the head to the left side.  My question is how can I keep the tail feathers straight?  It seems to me they are sagging a little more and more everyday due to gravity... This bird looks awesome but I dont want to have tail feathers pointing at the floor in the next few months. Any suggestions??  :dunno:  Thanks

A thin wire and some super glue  (careful with the glue).
Nothing witty here.... move along.

The wire gets inserted into the foam body a few inches, which will help support it.
Nothing witty here.... move along.

Hi Camo, if you have a picture you can post of it that will be helpful.  There are a couple of issues that may be going on with it.  Don't stick a wire in it yet or super glue anything yet, you may make it worse.  It may be a very easy fix, depending on what is actually happening with the tail.  A pic will make it a lot easier to trouble shoot.  John
