How do you like those FOB's Dekuma?  I dont know much about them.

Other than they do not like being shot into groups, I love them!
I can fletch up a dozen arows in a flash and they shoot straight and true on everything I have shot them at.
Shot them in massive crosswinds at 50 yards into a stump during turkey hunting in Colville and was amazed that I did not need to compensate at all.  Hit dead on.
Breaking them by shooting too tight of groups is the only down fall I can see with them at all.

Hello. Good looking bows.


I am currently using a 57 lb at 28 inch longbow. It is made with fiberglass laminations and Pacific Yew. The wood is extrememly light weight. The quiver I have come to like is something crafted locally in Washington. I never met the guy who made the quiver but I certainly do like his work. The green felt cloth is to cover your fletching and protect them from a little bit of rain and a lot of brush abuse. This quiver makes it easy for the user to extract an arrow without reaching over their own shoulder or from having to take off your quiver to get at an arrow. I don't like the idea of having a quiver attached to my bow. To each his own. I have one extra string, 2 aluminum judo point flu flus (I think that is what they call them points). These aluminum arrows are for rabbits and birds. I have yet to mount any blunts on them yet but I might since I have a few laying around. The wood arrows are made from 55-60lb spined port orford cedar. I glued on the nocks, trimmed the shafts, fletched them and also topped them off with 125 grain zwickey broadheads. I really need to get more practice in and tune up better. However last week I had my best shooting day ever at the range. We all know the range doesn't matter though.  This photo nearly sums up all of my archery gear. Only a few arrows are not shown. The whole system is probably less than 5 lbs.

Nice choice.  I looked at them too.  I love the way they feel, and the draw is smooth as silk.

Starrflight may, I repeat may come back out with a sturdier FOB that can withstand hits from grouped shots. Although I don't feel the need to group shots any more, it used to be fun. We used to try and Robin Hood each others arrows.
Any more I shoot one arrow per dot and it serves as well as a group for me.

That would be cool, a sturdier FOB.  I have superglued several of mine together.

I get board shooting 5 spot, so I start shooting groups for no other reason that to see how tight I can ge them.
Spent my time yesterday throwing the Rhinehart Field target over my shoulder then turning, aquiring the target and shooting as quick as possible.  Worked out pretty good as the distance could have been anywhere from 5 to 30 yards.  One arrow for awhile, then I used three but had to shoot at 3 different spots as fast as I could.  Since the spots are all around the "ball" it made for some angled shots.  Through into the brush a few times, which made it really interesting to first find it, then to pick a spot and shoot.

at least with the above shooting, I did not break anymore FOBs.  Need to order some more though.....  Going to get some arrows with vanes for those shots that are too close to my FOBs.........
