It has been a weird summer.. I am just now starting to get more decent bucks on camera. Not sure if its the new spots or just the right time of year?

I have several of the 150+ bucks on camera this year, but have found "the one" so I guess we are in opposite situations..
I may be willing to trade ;)

lol...right now I don't have much to trade. Deadeye has dropped off the map again. 10 days...no pics. I made some adjustments and hope to pick him up again.
That story sounds familar :bash:

I haven't posted any pics in a while so here are a couple. This nice 7x7 elk recently came in....and he isn't the biggest one I have seen in the area...still trying to get pics of the big one. Apparently deadeye reads the regulations. He hasn't come into the camera since 9 August but he showed up again less than one hour after shooting light on the last day of Archery.

Funny I got a pic a bear that look exactly same with stripe...    as for the buck... once that velvet comes off, his diet changes, and will hold up a lil tighter and a lil more nocturnal until pre rut...   I say find the does... and be ready Nov.

Here are a few new pics of deadeye....and he is no longer the biggest buck I have on camera...but you will have to wait a  while before I will post pics of the big one.  :chuckle:

I would try to get it mounted with his eye as natural as possible. I have daylight photos and the eye just appears a little lazy more so than anything else. That being said... I have a bigger buck that will be my primary target during the late season.
