Sweet. Me too. Drew 3 tags for area 23.

I got ranked 751 for a Bison.  :'(

What area did you draw?

Drew one of  the units with a November 1st-15th season in a nameless unit.  ;)   Not a general area tag.

I've always planned on eventually getting into hunting Wyoming.  Will have to check in with you all for pointers when the time comes.  Congrats on the tags!

Start buying points.  You can do that starting in July-September.

How many points did you have? by ready these wyoming deer and antalope result you guys make it sound easy to get drawn? Is this not the case?

It really depends on where you apply. Some of the coveted units are hard to get. If you look at Wyoming Fish and Game, you can find the same stuff as WDFW does regarding application results. There are a lot of areas that have more private property on them so there is a lot of tags that do not get sold. Some areas will have 1000 tags and only sell like 300. I would say look at all the areas and found out how you want to hunt them and where.

Thanks. I tried looking at wyoming game website last night and was getting all kinds of  :dunno:. I am interrested in the antalope side. I would really like to go over there a get a buck to mark off my list.

I had max points for deer which I think was 5pts.  And my group for antelope we averaged 2pts.

That's a good tag from what I have read.  The odds were to long for me.  Congrats.

Our group drew our second choice tag. Found a great spot, easy draw, decent bucks everywhere, big bucks possible, and can hunt every year, while still building points.   :chuckle:

Jason... that is a good unit. I hunted it last year. Our group went 4 for 4 in 5 days and did'nt get more than 3 miles from my Buddies cabin. Also saw moose, elk, and tons of lopes in the same area. A huge variety of terrain. Gorgeous country! Hope to apply for elk next year. Good luck!!

My stepson and I drew region F (third choice). It will be my first out of state hunting so I am pretty excited to just go someplace new.  It was his last year as a youth so I figured it was better to go now rather than later, his tag was pretty cheap! I've heard there aren't a lot of deer in this region but I am betting it will be better hunting than here.  Time will tell I guess.  :)
