Not a bobcat expert...

...but is it normal for one to not have a lot of spots?  Seen plenty in my days in the woods, but none that look like this.

Wow, by far one of the cooler looking cats ive seen. sure is red too. great pic

Yep thats what they look like on the west side.  I have seen a few grey ones down here also though.  Here is the one I got in 09.  Reddish with light spots.

That's why the buyers like the east side cats better then those swamp cats :chuckle:

One thing... this pic is as far east in this state as you can get.  That cat can practically spit into idaho from where he is.

the surroundings look like much of whats on this side,that would be the factor in colors,still a cool pic,what an awesome mount that would be

I completely agree.  I currently have no big bucks coming into this spot, and if it stays that way then, this fall I will try and call this guy in.  I wish he would have looked at the camera though.

I had a bobcat walk through my horse pasture a few weeks ago. It was a cinnamon color. Pretty cool to see, have'nt seen him since.

alot of time it has to do with the time of year, i would bet that next winter that cat is gonna be a deep dark redish brown with dark spots especially towards his belly
my grandpa always said "if it aint broke dont fix it"
