frustrated!
« on: June 26, 2011, 10:13:24 PM »
I put up my first cam ever on May 1st. When I set it up I made sure to do a couple of test pictures to make sure I had a good view of everything. Everything looked good. When I pulled the card on Saturday the batteries were dead so I figured I had a lot of pictures to sort through. I looked at the card last night and the only pictures on it were the two testers I had done on the 1st. AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! >:( :cryriver: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash: :bash:. Just needed to vent thanks for listening. Hopefully I can get back up there in the next couple of weeks and set up 4 or 5 more.

What kind of camera? Was there sign of any animals being in front of the camera? That sure would be disappointing. That's why I usually don't let them sit that long. I usually go 3 weeks max.

I live on the westside but hunt the eastside so the gas bill gets pretty expensive when I do a lot of scouting, that's why I got a bunch of trail cams this year. I have purchased a ton of good quality rechargeable batteries to keep that bill down. It was a primos truth cam that has worked great in the back yard. There was a lot of sign with a deer bed 7 feet from the camera view, an elk bugling 100 yards away and multiple game trails around the camera.

That's really odd. Are you sure there aren't more pictures on the card, maybe in a separate folder? They only way your batteries should have been totally dead is if they ran dead by taking lots of pictures.

There is one more file but it is corrupt or something because my computer won't read it and my portable card reader says the file is too big. Seems weird to me too, the first two pics were awsome and then nothing
