My nephew drew the muzzy bull tag. He's had pretty good luck the past few years in the draw. He's drawn an LT murray late buck tag, a peaches ridge bull tag, a Ritzville late buck tag, and a palouse late white tail tag.

I drew a cow tag for the toutle this year.  Haven't ever hunted the west side before, but I hear lots of good things about the toutle and Margaret units.  Anyone know if we can camp in the state land off the 3000 line road?  Any help on where to hunt would be much appreciated.

Muchas gracias amigos

Just so all you Toutle tag holders are ready for it....2 years ago I had my Muzzy Toutle tag, and we were all ready to pack in behind the Weyerhauser gates to avoid the state land where most people go.  On opeining morning, well before daylight and with no notice on the Weyerhauser hot line, they opened the gates.  People flooded into the woods and the elk were in shell shock from all the vehicles.  People everywhere, grouse hunting, blowing on bugles, shooting and stuff, so don't count on any gates being locked.

I only had 4 days to hunt and the weather was hot/dry all season.  Shot a raghorn, could have shot multiple spikes and a couple other rags.  Tried holding out for a bigger bull, but between the weather, no time to scout and the flood of people it didn't work out.  Sounds like I'm making excuses...well maybe a little, but we talked to several tag holders that never seen a single bull.

I drew a bull tag and 3 friends drew cow tags. I don't really know what to expect, so will scout early. I'd like to know someone who is going to hunt the Toutle with archery and talk to them about what they say.
