"The Hot Call For Herd Bulls"
« on: July 18, 2011, 05:31:24 PM »
For all you members who subscribe to Outdoor Life, you may want to take a look at the latest (August) issue. There seems to be the new "secret weapon" call out there for herd bulls that hits pretty close to home I'd say. One of our own just might be involved with it.  :chuckle: We'll see if he reveals himself..

Is it Yelp with a squealer?
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

I’m extremely humbled at the opportunity to be included in this month’s “Archery Elk Bow Close” article in Outdoor Life.  I never thought that my Elk Calls would be featured in an Elk hunting article in one of the major hunting magazines.

I owe this site for much of my success.  The Hunting-Washington community has been a huge majority of my business.  Not to mention, when I talked with Andrew McKean (Editor of Outdoor Life) and asked how he heard about such a small call maker like myself, His answer was he had read an interview that Bow4Elk (Tom Ryle) put together and He also had talked with LittleJohn (John) about the 360”+ bull elk he killed using my calls.  Andrew also alluded to coming to the site and checking out some of the reviews and comments regarding my calls.

If you get a chance, pick up the magazine and let me know what you think.  I know this probably sounds stupid but I’m like a little kid whose dreams just came true (at least part of it).

Once again I thank you for your support.  This site is full of a great bunch of guys and gals.

I wish you all the best of luck in 2011.  May your arrows fly true and lead fly straight.

I got one of His calls and it sounds good. Can't wait to use it in the Toutle this year. Congrats on your success. It is good when Washington is represented.
