Boy I would love to drag the boat over but I might be dragging my crap down to the Columbia for them damn springers. (to addicting) plus I do it every year.  That sure does look fun. What month did he say was the best? FEB, MAR, April???? I might have to do that one weekend.

Ok so how many guys are planing on going?  I can get 2-3 boats to go.  Its best to fish no more than 3 out of a boat, unless you are set up real well.  My buddies sister has a lot on the lake we could probably camp at or we can set up at the park.  It would be nice to get 10+ guys to go and do a little tourney.

I would be down to go if there was no Springer action happening. Unless my buddy has the weekend off, it would probably just be me, so if anybody needs a boat to fish out of, can throw in some gas money and crank up manual downriggers, you are welcome to fish with me.  :)

Personally may and june have been the best months for me.  Much nicer weather also, for a bunch of guys want to get together.  The lake can still be real rough until later in the spring, and freezing weather through march is not uncommon in chelan.

When does everybody plan to go? I think we need to narrow it down and get a group together. I can bring a boat. I prefer before or after springer and turkey season because I will spend most of my time in later March, April and early May shootin and catchin. Never done that type of fishing so it would be a little learning experience. Looks like to much fun to pass up.

So when would people rather go? I have seen a few want to do the June time.

Nope, but would love to learn how to do it. I have most of the gear that was pictured, and have a 20' NorthRiver with downriggers.

I've got friends of the family who have a house on the water north of Manson and every Labor Day weekend the family would pack up and go visit for the weekend. I remember spending every morning as a kid on the dock fishing. One year I caught from the dock a 14 & 16 inch trout on a piece of bread I had spit on (still my largest trout). There was another year my brother casted out and set the poll down and went up the get a quick snack and when he came back the poll was gone. Come to think of it he has never replaced my lost mickey mouse pole. Some good memories of the lake.
God Bless,
Scott
