No bear season open then?

Bear season in NE corner doesn't open until September 1st.  That way the berries are all dried up, so they're harder to hunt.  duh.  Give the part of the state that has the highest bear density the shortest season and a one bear limit.  Makes sense right?

Wow, that's dumb. I hope you guys were at the season setting meetings banging the table.

Caught this guy on my camera, what's up with the rope?  This is pretty far off any roads and trails.  Had one of our cameras stolen in the same area, NOT saying he had anything to do with it.

Just checked my camera after about 3 weeks. I thought I was going to have a pic of a short, goofy looking dude  :chuckle:to post on here, until my kid pointed out that the pics were of me breaking off branches when we set the camera up!!

My first contribution to this thread!  First suburban soak ends up with a trespasser on my property.  Hope he doesn't mind a deer bleeding out on his side of the fence and I'll return the trespass favor!

Looks like John Curly from Evening Magazine... :dunno:
