Well said runamuk....

Unless someone is calling a house cat a bobcat,,   who the heck cares......   :chuckle: :chuckle:
oh you just had to go there.....THE epic...bobcat thread

Speaking of "THE" bobcat thread, does anyone know if it's still here?  I seem to remember looking for it along with the picture once and I couldn't find it.

I just remember that the two-track road was one travelled by 20 foot wide trucks, and the grass was about 8 ft tall.  It really put things into perspective regarding the size of that house cat bobcat.   :chuckle:

I don't need a tape measure to tell me how big a bull is that I have taken, Sure if I really wanted to know a for sure measurement I would have it scored. But to me any bull, buck or what ever, is a trophy to me because I out smarted him on his turf and  harvested a great animal no matter how big or small he may or may not be,  THATS HUNTING IN MY BOOK..

so you have NEVER measured anything wrong or added a little in haste or excitement :dunno: just sayin (spelled wrong on purpose) it sounds like something of yours got measured in a little low.....

and they pointed out the spelling and grammar because you were calling guys out if you are going to do that you might want to check spelling and all first.  again just sayin

I just hope some day that my life is so incredibly stress free that when I go to my favorite hunting site, that the biggest concern I have is whether or not a guy measured his animal within a gnats eyelash.  Good lord folks, it's hunting season, get out and do some and relieve some stress.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.

Can't eat antlers and unless they start a new category for elk or deer that weighs the most...Check that, I still wouldn't care if it had tape put to it.  It's always nice to see the guys on here that have spent days and nights searching for the trophy bull and I congratulate them on their accomplishment because it is an accomplishment but, I personally would rather have meat in my freezer to feed my family.

If they don't want to score their bull then who cares?  I don't and I'm not going to bug them about it.

If you want to score your bull then score it , If some one is bragging it dosn't bother me any bull over 300 is a real nice bull . Personally I've killed a few over three hundred and love the challange of finding a toad . I will never pick a animal apart that some ones proud of since the thropy is in the eye of the beholder . Some of the special permit tags are so rare I believe in hunting for a monster to do it justice myself . Last week we passed on a 320-340 class bull knowing there are bigger bulls to come . It all depends on what you want to get out of it . btw Hunt nw that 350 bull you talk of that was taken last week is a 350 bull some times pics can be decieving .  :twocents:

first off who really cares what there animal scores its still a hell of a bull or buck. they are proud of it and most of us are proud and happy for them. second over 900 people have read this post and I'm not sure i would have wanted some of them to have posted until after they have cooled down. i can see some blood starting to boil and this could have ended up going in a real bad way. be happy that they got a nice bull and where nice enough to share there experience with us

I could care less what someone thinks there bull scores.  Doesn't affect me one bit.  But I get tired of the guys that say you can eat horns I just eat the meat.  I have found 9 times out of 10 that the bigger the horns the more meat there usually is.  I think some guys forget that big scoring animals still have meat too.  And I like looking at horns and antlers after the meats gone.  If your a meat hunter go by beef its cheaper than hunting these days.

Since when did hunting become all about the damn score of the animal anyway?  What about being out the woods with good family and friends or even being out there all by yourself.  I say get out there and hunt, enjoy yourself and get away from the hustle and bustle.  I understand why there is a scoring system, but people get too caught up in it.

And by the way...it's, I couldn't care less.
Sorry, had to do it.

Wasn't gonna post it but wanted to see what you thought it might score without putting your hands on it.

"I could care less".  "I couldn't care less". My English professor claimed that was a unique situation where both sayings mean the same thing.  :dunno:
mainstreamfishing: it does not matter to me what number is put on that bull, he is a STUD! Awesome bull!!! Were you shooting uphill? Looks like a scope 'kiss' above your right eye?

I'd give it a 6 out of 10 since it's easily noticeable.  The blood isn't running down your face or nose, so it's not all that impressive....
