Miller Ranch youth hunt.

Well Harley and I were invited to come over to the ranch and help with the Safari Club International youth hunt. This event is a great chance to help young hunters get into the sport.
There were 12 kids and they were broke into 3 groups. There were folks like myself that brought the dogs over to allow these kids to hunt over. We had a great time and I encourage all of you that have young kids to go to the sight and get your kids signed up for a chance to hunt this event. The kids that hunt this all get brand new youth model 20 gauge shotguns to keep.

This was also a great pre-season tune up on Harley. Lots of smiles and lots of fun..

Those type of events to get kids involved are great...  :tup:

Is it just me, or is there a buck in that last picture of the young lady on her right side in the distance.  You never know it is that time of year I am always a little off.  Looks like a great time for the kids glad SCI is doing so much for the youth out there to get involved.

Thanks guys. Those birds were very nice and the 2nd bird was a monster.
Now as for the buck it was huge and made of 1/4 plate steel. Kindof tough to eat. :dunno:

The smiles say it all. I'm glad there are groups like the Safari club offering to give kids a chance at a pheasant hunt. Could be the most memberable and funnest activity they ever do.

That's great, glad you got to participate in that.  I've had the pleasure of meeting Scott several times and he's gone out of his way on more than one occassion to accomodate hunts for out of town groups for me.  Great organization and I'm glad to see them involved with the youth hunts like this
