7mm-08 dialed in with hunting load
« on: September 24, 2011, 05:03:09 PM »
I finnaly had time to reload and get to the range yesterday and today. I got it close yesterday morning but did not have time to let the barrel cool any more to finish up cause I had to pick up my boy from school. I took the family to the range this morning and shot twice on a cold barrel and all looked well. The wife shot 3 rounds through it and did fine, this is her hunting rifle. My kids shot the Chipmunk .22 and we all had a great time! Here is the 100yard target from the 7mm-08.
I felt like a one legged cat trying to bury a terd on a frozen pond!

It is a Browning A-bolt. I settled in on 46gr of IMR 4350, with 140gr Nosler Partition. I worked the load from the Nosler manual.

Looks like deadly medicine for deer, elk or bear...

By my honorable conduct as a hunter let me give a good example and teach new hunters principles of honor, so that each new generation can show respect for their god, other hunters and the animals, and enjoy the dignity of the hunt.

Calling an illegal alien an 'undocumented immigrant' is like calling a drug dealer an 'unlicensed pharmacist'.
