Use wasp nest paper in your load.
I have been told its the best thing you can use to keep your powder dry, after I quit muzzleloading due to not be able to keep my powder dry I was told abouut it.
Pour in the powder, then a wasp nest covered patch, then the ball

#1 - Electrical tape over the muzzle.
#2 - Little 1/4" long pieces of clear plastic tubing that fit snugly over the cap after it is on the nipple.
#3 - Change out your load every night.

Good luck!

once you cap your weapon in the field, put like 3 strips of electrical tape over the breech opening.. makes a litle waterproof bridge over that open breech..

I use plastic grocery bag and rubber bands for the muzzle.  Tear a piece off and then fit it to not interfere with the sight and then rubberband it in place.
For the nipple, I use a piece of scrap leather that is on a string tied to the trigger guard.  Lower the hammer on the leather and it keeps it sealed and dry, when you cock it back the leather falls away and you can place a cap on it.
