Zen-Ray Summit 10-42
« on: October 08, 2011, 03:38:53 AM »
Well after reading some of the other post on this site. I decided to jump in and support 1 of Our sites supporter.
Zen-Ray the ones of you that have them have said You love them. So I bought the 2010 ZRS H.D (Summit) 10-42's.
What accessories do you guys suggest I get for these. i.e Bino buddies, Bino covers ect.
How do You all think these will be for Blacktail hunting with a rifle?
Thanks from Dubai,
Whitey.
P.S these binos will be there when I get home I cant wait to get out of here.

I think the ZRS HD is the best about $200ish binocular on the market.  It will out perform most more expensive binoculars.  But, just me personally, I would go 8x for blacktail country.  I'd get some Butler Creek or Bushwhacker flip up objective covers and a decent harness to start.  Let your own use experience and personal needs dictate what you eventually get.

Steve thanks for the reply.
I thought long and hard on this.
I figured whats a few hundred bucks. Big deal?
If I need another pair and these work out I can buy 2 pair for the cost of one.
Butler Creek is a great place to start looking, because most the binos i have had in the past had caps that would fall off within
10 feet of the truck.
I thank You again Brother Man for the info. If I werent in Dubai I would try and change the order, but I might just see how these work and maybe buy the 8 power for looking in tight.
Thanks..
Good Hunting

Whitey,

Please check the S4Gear Lockdown bino harness system.  We have been asked by many of our customers to come up with our own harness system.  But after field testing many of the current design, I have to say S4Gear did a superb job designing their lockdown system.

For ZRS, the micro size is perfect.  For larger binoculars, like ZEN ED3, standard lockdown harness is needed.

Hope this helps
