ruff start to season
« on: October 16, 2011, 03:47:42 PM »
well took the girls out for there first WA b/t hunt. we get there, make the hour hike  and my oldest looks at me and says dad the woods are gone. now normally i would laugh at this but we are standing there and the area I have been scouting for the last 6 months is all gone  :bash: i know that there used to be a few smaller bucks in this area so we just take a set on some logs and start glassing, nothing we set there all morning till about lunch time. while the girls are eating i walk around the area and cant even find a single deer track seems when you cut down all the trees the deer run away but the elk seem to run in. but we stayed in the general area had i good time walking around. we ended the first day seeing 1 bear a few elk and many tracks. both girls where tired swore and ready to sleep. now its to a different area to hunt i haven't scouted it as much but i do know there are a few deer there.
