And they're legal. I have and it's horrible. Why can they be legal and do that and the antiATVers don't say squat about motorcycles ? Just food for thought my friends. Complain about the real problems and take action against those abusers, starting with the Forest Circus. They Ok it and don't do anything about it. Maybe if the antiATVers looked into this, they might turn their anger into something positive. And I suppose you would also say that the horses do NO damage.....yeah right. If motorcycles are kept on trails that are intended for that purpose, they do less damage than that 1,000 lb horse does....if you dont like them go where they arent....there are very limited areas where they are legally allowed to ride their motorcycles anymore and it is getting more and more limited because of the a$$hats that cant follow rules. besides that...they are paying more to use those trails than any other user group out there because they have to LICENSE that motorcycle....horses, hikers, and mountainbikers dont! I don't know what world you're from, but you can ride licensed motorcycles anywhere on forest circus roads. Go up out of Leavenworth and look for youself. On road and off road, legally. I have ATVs and pay all those license fees, gas taxes, tire taxes, insurance etc. We CANNOT ride them everywhere like motorcycles can. It's *censored*s like you that don't know WTF you're even talking about. How many motorcycle/ATV clubs do you belong too ? Horses and cows do a helluva lot more damage than ATVs. Camp meat, Really! Mallard79 meant registered and tabbed dirt bikes, not licensed and I hope you would know that since you are so well versed in all things off road. You said you can license your atv, I don't know what state you live in but it can't be washington. Because atv's are never considered street legal, while some bike's are. It doesn't take a club to know what you are talking about because obviously you do not, stop being angry because you own an atv and can't ride them most places in washington, maybe you should have looked into that before buying your quad Stop making yourself look ignorant because I am sure you are not, Mallard had an excellent point and was right, despite what your opinion is, get out and ride somewhere else then leavenworth and get a more well rounded base of knowledge.

I believe it is pretty clear what I said....Motorcycles have the same month and year tab as your atv. I dont see why horses and mountain bikers shouldnt be licensed if riding on trails maintained by the $$$ that comes from my motorcycle licensing?? I do know what I am talking about and you should check your ideas against real facts before you atack people on this forum.....
Lol.....last time I checked, I already license my dogs/cats..... I guess I dont know how to make you understand that the people who ride their horses on trails that are maintained by the $$$ put aside from our orv tab licenses should be paying their fair share. You cant honestly tell me that a 1000 lb animal does less damage to a trail system than a 300 lb motorcycle on the same trail......I know that my motorcycles never left behind a single pile of excrement in the middle of a trail for others to ride/walk through......if it makes you feel better they can call it a cleanup fee charged to horse riders riding on maintained trails. Hikers that stay on the trail pay just the same as us hunters who choose to hike in to hunt.....its called the discover pass.......you want maintained trails to ride your orv/horse on you pay a little extra......pretty easy to see the logic....more damage/maintenance=more $$$This has gotten off topic and is only making us look bad. I say shut it down. I will agree to disagree at this point.
Why would you call them "selfish". They have every right to be there just as you do.
I've been on horse worn trails and they are rough as a cob. I would much rather walk on a wheel trail. There are the "tare it up crowd" but that is an enforcement issue, our eyes in the woods included. If a person destroys something they should pay the cost of repair.

I've hunted trails that herds of elk use on a regular basis and they're very worn and torn up. They also leave lots of poop behind and don't bother to go back and clean it up. Often, my boot treads are filled with it at the end of a day. It's funny to me that this thread turned into a fight between dirt bikes and horses.
