Winchester Blindside shot, good or bad, worth it???
«

Well I picked up a box of 3" #2 blindside today to try out on Sunday. Anybody use the stuff yet? Good or bad results? Or is it just another steel shot?

Good luck with them. I'm interested to hear what you think.
Some how, I don't see how they could offer an advantage.

I shot 6 boxes of it when I was in Saskatchewan in September. It seemed to pattern real nice and not cripple the birds. I only shot it at ducks and cranes.

I shot a box of 3 1/2 bb and they hit the ducks hard out to 45 yards. I don't shoot any farther then that

It looks interesting but also spendy if I'm thinking of the right stuff.

Yes they are expensive. The $25 a box is a bit steep though. Get it at Rogers with no tax and free shipping for $20 a box. This place is about the only place I buy shells any more. Most local places can't come close to their prices on the different shells.

I finished up another box of 3" # 2's. I also shot a box of Winchester Super X 3" #2's. Half the price and I did just as good. If I am not having any issues with cheap stuff, what will the expensive stuff do for me. The main difference will be in longer shots for most, but that is also where most have issues shooting anyways. Save the money and buy an extra box of inexpensive.

I shoot Winchester Super X 3" #2's as well and the only time I have issues if I push the limits of my range. I prefer paying 12.99 a box than 25.99 a box

If I am going to be taking the longer shots I go with the 3-1/2" shell for the same price as the blindside.

....exactly what I was thinking ... except sometimes its still cheaper than blindside and you get better velocity with the same payload.

I bought a box from cheaperthendirt.com and I think it was only $18 for 3" number 4s. I haven't shot it yet but going to use them next month on a hunt that I'm going on.

Buy them and have fun! Some of the best patterns Ive ever used. Geese go down like tanks with the BB and 2 shot for the ducks.
