Trophy class
« on: October 31, 2011, 10:50:47 AM »
Sorry for the crap picture.  I didn't think you'd care.    We have a date in the next couple weeks. Hopefully he gets a little less jumpy once he starts chasing chicks.

What a beautiful animal, he's sure in his prime, look how he carries his weight throughout his entire body. . . good luck with photo opportunities in the coming weeks. . . hoping to see some more great animals from you!

That's a nice mature Mulie, any hunter should be proud to harvest him. Judging from that neck, I bet he's a-thinking about the "chicks" right now. :)

Most of the muleys were just starting.   I had two that were worked up pretty good.   They squared off for about 20 minutes, I saw them an hour later and they were still at it.   I got some pretty good shots of them.    Most were on the move from the high country and searching out does.   I found several batches of does that weren't manned up yet, so looking forward to revisiting.

Nice "shot" Bone.  What would that measure out for width?  I'm trying to get better at field judging these.  I passed on one that wide, but not as tall or heavy this year, and am still wondering if I screwed up.....

Doug,

Have you ever seen a buck while photographing in November that you saw earlier (in the summer or early fall) while scouting or hunting?  That would be a neat experience.
