All those world class taxidermists out there that tan their own hides and cast their own septums with dental acrylic etc. must be terrible.  Good thing there are aftermarket parts for those that like to plug and play or snap together

Scott from custom wildlife art was a master, of that there is no doubt, but yeah his turn around time was rough for sure.  But it was without a doubt, artwork.  Jeff Sylvester does real nice work here in Spokane as well, he's done a few europeans for me and I have looked at stuff in his shop and it's real clean work.  You mught talk to bucklucky here on the website, I think he occasionally comes through Spokane and may be able to work something out with you.  His work is beautiful as well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.
You are never to old to learn something stupid.

Huntnnw I will not disagree with you there, Scott did some great work. My muley from 2004 and my dads bull from 2005 that I just posted on here was done by him and they are fantastic. The only problem with him I had is it took me 3 years to get my mount back and my dads bull took almost 5. He is a super nice guy and all but the business people side of it definitely needed some work.
I have several mounts done by the above but would never again. He can be very good when he wants to be. Bear rug took over 4 yrs and still was not done so we finally got it back and took to Dumont's in Libby. I take all my stuff to John at Dumont's now.

Dave Hubbard & Chuck Berg at Advantage Taxidemry have done a Shoulder mount for me and 3 European Mounts.  They do good work.  Let me know if you want contact info.  They are located between Davenport & Creston.

I will not take anything to anyone who tans themselves, also people who dont buy the aftermarket septums. Josh tans himself

Scott was waaaay behind on his work and  saying he was a nice guy?? :chuckle:

I have a shoulder mount done by Scott. Its is good work but as stated he is slow. Over 18 months and that was cause I was over checking often. He won the cover of Mckenzie and he copped an attitude about his work.   :twocents:

I know there is a tannery in Kettle Falls and he gets alot of hides from alot of taxidermists. You wouldn't even know it was there if you drove past his business.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I take my work to Randy Steele in Nine Mile Falls. He has done 4 shoulder mounts for me and they all turned out great.
