Snow goose card?
« on: December 02, 2011, 09:23:13 PM »
I am new to goose hunting and saw someone mention needing a snow goose card to hunt said bird. I looked in the regs and saw that it stated needing a snow goose card in management area number 2, but did not see it say anything about area number 1. Do I not need one if I hunt in area number 1? Is there any other cards/tags that I need besides small game, migratory bird, and duck stamp? Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Check the regs again.  If you read page 19, it will answer your questions for you.  Area 1 you need snow goose card.  Area 2 you need dusky card.  Season and hours vary per management area, so pay special attention to those.  Plenty of gamies with an itchy ticket hand.
