Love my rental car!
« on: December 05, 2011, 12:19:16 AM »
NOT!!!!  So you drop off a lifted 4 wheel drive for warranty work, and they give you a 2 wheel drive beater car as a rental.  I went shed antler hunting in it today, and had to drop in off the highway.  I was half tempted to take the thing off-road if it wasn't for my pride stopping me.  Oh and the no pet rule, ha, explain that to my lab that was sitting on the back seat.  She was loving it more than the bed of my truck I think though.  Really wanted to get up in the Margaret this weekend and find some I passed up earlier, but ill have to wait tell next weekend I guess.  Got to take advantage of it while the gates are opened, and I know you permit holders are hoping for snow, but I'm praying for sunshine.
When you see the third, thin the herd.
Right now I'm somewhere picking up sheds.

I had a suspension problem with my old car one time visiting family in VA. I went to a recommended dealership to diagnose the clunk. It took forever but they discounted the labor to almost nothing and patched my sisters tire for free due to wait time. Anyway, there was a guy in there complaining that his diesel wasn't getting boost. He was pretty upset with the service manager and told him that it's not getting boost, it has to be one of two things and both are warranty issues. The service manager seemed to agree without saying so. The customer started complaining that it was a work truck that his community depended on to clear and salt rural roads for his customers. The dealer took the equipment off the customers truck and put it on a loaner truck that was an upgrade in power over the customer's truck. If I lived there I would have been instantly and nearly permanently loyal to that dealer.

I also learned an important lesson in life that was supported by witnessing this. "The squeaky wheel gets the grease" Unfortunately I had to learn that same lesson in todays army. If you don't complain people will run over you all day long. Complaining and whining are 2 different things though.
