Odell, you mentioned the Rainier (Mt Rainier?) area. Was this from several years back?
There was a monster bull that came out of the Goat Rocks Wilderness in the late 90's that looked like that. Bases the size of coffee cans as I recall the story.
There are still some big bulls back in the Goat Rocks.

Yeah, I was told Mt. Rainier area. Interesting that it might be canada. I'll call my buddy and find out more.  This is from this year.

or rainier wa, rayoneer timmberland, or rainier oregon? :bash:

I'm pretty sure if someone killed a bull like that on our tree farm we'd have heard about it.  The pic also looks more like USFS land than Rayonier's Promised Land.  If you knew how many poachers, tweekers, scrapers and brush pickers roamed the Promised Land you would doubt a bull like that could survive out there.  I know a local surveyor who picked up a bull head like that on the Quinault Indian Reservation twenty years ago.....I think it's 9 on each side if I remember right.

Sadly I do know just how many of those types of people are roaming the woods out there. That is why we made the switch from hunting Promised Land to going down to Randle/Packwood area. Got tired of running into nothing but brucsh pickers, crack heads, and "mushroom pickers" carrying hunting rifles. The indians made the decision easy for us one year too.

After reading all 4 pages I love how many people know everything about everything.. :bash: :bash:... Can't we just admire a wonderful animal and let the author tell the story. If you have a better one than post your own thread. BC or Wa. I don't care, its a massive bull and it can be left at that.   :dunno:

Look at the title of the thread.  It's just a bunch of people trying to figure out the story on this one...nothing to get too worked up about.  Although there were a few people who seemed a little overconfident that they knew the story...I'll give you that.  It's an amazing animal for sure, but it's human nature to wonder/speculate where it came from, especially when it's rumored to have come from your backyard.

We lost the original thread when this bulls rack showed up the first time on here back in early November (due to the meltdown).  Here's the picture of the rack that was posted on the original thread when someone took a pic of it somewhere around Shelton.  Here's another pic I got in an email that said the bull was taken in BC.  It even gave the hunters name.  I'm pretty sure it didn't come from the Penninsula, but not because of how big it is.

Coastal, that bull you posted is from BC and is from the same party but from a different year.  I don't think it is the same bull as the one I posted though. Look em over again and tell me what you think.

:yike: :yike: :yike:  Come on!  It is obviously the same bull based off of the pics.  It's a great bull and I'm not doubting that just your insistence that the 2 bulls in question are different. :bash:  The only one that can clear the whole situation for sure is the person that harvested the bull but, given the evidence provided it's obvious their the same.

Not insisting just asking. I'm just curious about the bull and trying to sort through the info I got from people who were supposedly in the know. It's funny how many different stories are being told.

I'm new to the forum and wanted to contribute something. Sorry for wasting your time
