Well, had the multi-season tag this year. Passed one buck up in the general rifle season. Have not archery hunted near as much as usual on account of the dry, stagnant weather. A typical season, by now, and I will have seen at least a couple of bucks to this point, but this season has been horrible, for me. Was gonna hang it up and do my hunter reports, yesterday, but decided to make one more trip to the woods this morning. You ever go hunting and know that all your doing is spending money on gas and that you will not do any good? I cannot help but get that feeling today, and all the other days that I have tried this year. Lol, but hunting is still hunting and it is better than sitting here watching t.v. My last gasp of the year:/ On goes the camo...
If memory serves me right, the goal of hunting is to put something in the freezer. I have, yet to meet that goal, but I'll be back next year; I enjoy the hunt, almost, as much as the bagging. Just wish it didn't cost so dang much. I remember when you purchased one license, covering all game, for $20.00 and a $2.00 tag for deer.Gonna try the Ft Lewis Hunting; it's getting too dangerous and cost too much for me to continue with Mossey Rock/Winston Creek. I have heard some of the loudest "Bow Releases", ever, in the Winston Creek Area.
