I've seen nice bulls run right across the 410 highway just after passing Greenwater. I've seen cows this summer up "near" Greenwater Lake. Recently. That's about all I know. Other than I put in for the White river and didn't draw.

FS Rd 70,72,73,74 are some good places to do a little scouting.
Losing is natures' way of saying you suck.

thanks guy's,  the nice thing about him drawing that tag is that it's during general season and i can hunt the GMU next to it.

+1
If the tribes have not decimated it, I have seen some nice bulls in there.  Used to be a lot more elk, that is for sure.  Not half the unit it used to be.

They (Tribes) pound the White River unit from August until late January....especially the Muckleshoots. The Muckleshoots just recently took four for some big "Ceremonial" affair and we found a spike that they must have gut shot and didn't get........Les

I hunted there the year before it turned draw only.  About a mile after Greenwater on the right side is a gate.  Walk in and it takes you over the river (bridge).  Follow the road to the left, which will end at the river.  Two bulls were killed there then about 5 days apart.  One in the clearcut on the right 6 by 6 and the other in the field to the left 4 by 5.  I walked the game trails in the timber and seen some really nice rubs and a lot of cows but those were the only bulls I had seen taken.  Its not a bad area, and where I would hunt if I had that tag.

Lots of indians in that area, they are going to be starting to hunt at the end of this month...
If you shoot the first one you will never get that true trophy.
