I've never killed a doe.   Do you need to eat? or hunting for fun?

How bad do you want the meat have you seen a lot of bucks?
What would life be without the thrill of the hunt?

I hunt for meat, Id shoot a doe no problem, but you also have LOTS of time to find something if you want a buck.

I say go with your gut. If your not that excited about it then definately wait. BUT if you are and want some venison steaks then let her fly! Sometimes though if you are managing a heard, its better to take out the old doe so the bucks will mate with the younger more fertile does. Some old does go sterile and block the others from mating. Just a thought.

For fun I guess. There's one spike and one decent buck but on the property last night there were 25+ does... I have two tags and didn't get a deer during general....Uggg..

Best meat in the world!  And population reduction is usually most effective with doe harvest!  Good luck!
