Try Stuart Maitland of Eureka Peak outfitters. First rate guy. Does a winter trap line trip for a week. Expect lynx, martin, fisher, etc. Trophy's are available during the trip.

Boneaddict it would be fun to take you on a long line for a photo shoot. Wish my line was a little more exciting, fox and marten are not as cool as cats. Next season I'm expanding into cat area. I've got a buddy with a 50 mile line that I run with him that we get lynx every run but usually in snares. We see wolves and wolverine running more than we do in our sets
but it happens. Its hard to describe how cool it is when you get a lynx in a foot hold, they sound like one mad kitty when you show up. If your ever up in AK this time of year let me know. I may be able to work out a cool trip. Just be ready for -40 and hard snow machining!

My friend Hazel in Galena used to (around 1968) follow a fresh lynx track on foot until she saw and could shoot the cat. The cats I caught in foot holds never struggled or made much noise. Some didn't even destroy the cubby the bait was in.

Cats are funny with pain. On those foot holds its not un common to sneak up on them and have them laying there knapping. My buddy who was a great cat trapper until it got closed down caught a lot of cats. He said most of them would not hardly even fight the traps once caught. I have only ever been around a few of them and most were curled up in a ball when we got there. I need to build some live traps and get into trapping again.
