Fox in a Cage
« on: January 17, 2012, 09:46:20 AM »
Caught a red fox in a cage built by BearTrap.  It was a nuisance call.
It never changes, but it is always different.

A pet fox would be cool! Until the state found out. Gramps actually isn't too far down the road from me. Theres getting to be more and more fox around. I have pics from trail cams and ones I've shot already on the site.

Doesnt a high fox population a result of lack in the coyote population?

Eh... Kinda. The fox built up where the coyotes never really Hung out. So it works out. I don't have any problem finding either.

Most people don't even know they're around. They're sneaky. Just like most dandy bucks.

coyotes are bad for any fox population ... back in P.a the trappers are getting frustrated with coyotes killing all the fox ... and P.a has a serious Red & Grey fox population ...well it used to anyway  :bash: :bash: :bdid:

Fatslinger.....there are a few around here now.  I had a nuisance call last spring that I could not take 'cause I had just had a surgery.  I have only seen one other.
We seem to have plenty of coyotes also...will check with a friend who is a retired biologist.
