coyote down
« on: July 23, 2008, 09:39:06 AM »
My father and I went out to sight in his new m4 upper and decided to make a quick stand because the wind was to much to accurately sight in. We walk in to cottonwood canyon about a mile and got ready to set up and 5 deer busted out of some cover :bash:. I decided to set up any way, I set the fox pro out got ready and the fox pro was died >:(. Luckly I had taken my rocky mountain game call with me this time(normally I forget it) I gave one howl and a coyote popped out of a sage bush at 410yd. I figured I would take a crack at him and with the wind last night I missed by about a foot. So I took another shot this time he was running and I hit just behind his butt, I took another shoot right as he was going in to a bush and I got him :IBCOOL: not to bad for a 223 shooting a 40gr bullet in the high winds

No camera with me, that seem to be one of the thing I forget. just like my dad ask if the batterys in the fox pro where good at work and I forgot to check them before we went out :violent1:. I will try and get pics next outing, it might be a while. I need to give them a break before the winter when they worth shooting and keeping :dunno:, I believe I'm up to 20 dogs take out of that general area in the last 6 months.
