Moultrie D-55IR
« on: February 07, 2012, 09:33:20 PM »
Hi there, just picked up a Moultrie D-55IR at Wal-Mart here in Yelm.  It was on the clearance table marked down from $117.00 to $65.00, but there was a big sign on the bottom of the table that said 50% off lowest marked price, so I grabbed it and sure enough, I got it for $32.50 at checkout.  Anyone have any experience with this model?  For the price I figured it was worth a gamble.

I don't but they're supposed to be decent, other than the slow trigger. I think I read on chasingame that it's about a 4 second trigger, so you'll be best off using it with some kind of bait to get the animals to stop. It would have been a good buy for $65, for $32 you got a heck of a deal. I would have bought all they had at that price.

It was the only game cam that was there, believe me, I looked to make sure there weren't any others tucked in among the hats & shirts!!    :o

I have one. I haven't used it on game yet but I set it up outside my condo and in a 3 shot burst it got 2 pics of a car driving by doing about 10mph. Just about the same as my bushnell trophy cam.

I run 20 of them for work.  They are pretty good for the price.

Thanks for the input everyone!  I thought it might be worth a gamble and sounds like it was.
