Ben, very nice calls !!  And great looking birds also !
I have a wingbone that I picked up from Ed Blankinship this year while hunting in E. Wa, but didnt have a chance to really use it.

BC you have a piece of history right there !!  Anyone who knew Howard loved him and was blessed to have met such a remarkable man. He is missed.

Nice  looking calls.

I have made a few, not as nice looking as these but serviceable. I like to put the year, date or some thing pertaining to the bird on them.

Especially nice to hunt with when using my 12 gauge flint lock that I hand made

I met Ed Blankenship in a store that sells his calls.  I very informative person.  He has helpful information on his web site "Gobblers End" concerning call making.

I made one several years back. when I did the research on them, it said to use bones from a hen.  Thats what I did.  Is there a differnt tone from one that is made from a tom?

Hen bones make a softer call like a hen. Tom bones sound like Jake yelps. I've had good success with both.
