You guys crack me up :chuckle:  You both are correct units with 2 or more tags can only be hunted, so as of 2011 regs, only one of the baker units (Lincoln) can be hunted.  I talked with a local biologist last week and there are some changes coming down the pipe for this season, some restructuring so we shall see how this years regulations pan out.... for the tag holder that it :sry:

Hey Bearhunter... what you know about goat hunting? What area would you pick .... ? man there has to be some big boys in the Baker area... are you familiar with that unit .... Man that guy who has the tag needs to speak up ... these guys are killing themselves .... :dunno:

well just so you all know it's not me  :chuckle: so it has tobe in existing areas with more than one tag  hhmmm. in 1982 i was drawn for a goat tag dont remember the unit but it was on mt.baring off hiway 2. the last day was the 31st of oct  hunted all season walking back to the jeep  came across a nice billy  i beleive its 7  5/8 dia just over 9  1/2 in length beautiful coat and beard had shoulder mounted by evergreen taxi in lake city dont think thats even around anymore . anyway it was early in my hunting  careerit qualified for B/C  i will take a pic of it and share if ya'll like  anyway goodluck to the tag holder

Yea Jeep guy back in the good old days they used to have permits in the 448 and 460 units. There are still some goats in the area but not as many and its some tough country. Heres a couple goat from that Mt Baring area.
