Yes you can reset the tps. If you disconnect the batteries, that will reset the computer to factory settings, but it won't reset the tps. To do the tps-turn the key to the run position (not started), slowly depress the throttle pedal all the way to the floor, slowly release to idle (remove your foot from the pedal), slowly depress to the floor and back to idle 2 more times for a total of 3 times. After the 3rd time, turn the key off. Now start the truck and let it idle for 3-5 min. (don't touch the throttle). After it has idled for 3-5min. turn the truck off, then restart and go for a test drive. You might have to do this procedure more than once to get it reset, but I've almost always got it work on the first try. Good luck.
