I have been looking at these for a couple years now and never got around to picking one up. Have any of you bought one, know friends with one, I am interested in what you guys think before I make a bad purchase. They felt very comfortable at the show but what about durabilty etc, any help is appreciated as usual

I have one and love it.  I bought the rifle attachment for deer hunting.  It can sure hall if that is what you want it for.  For elk hunting I attach my day pack to it, and then when I get to the area where I hunt, I stash it in the woods.  It will last a life time.

I have had mine for probably 10 years and it has packed many animals.  Deer and elk.  I like to hook my day pack to it also when I'm dropping into the nasty stuff.  With a deer, I can haul a completly boned out buck on it no problem. 

The pack will hold up to more weight than you can haul!  Just beware, when you go into help pack your friends elk out be ready to be loaded up.

As for durability, mine has been thrashed around in the back of pick ups, tied to ATVs, snowmobiles and motorcycles and I have never had anything break or bend.  It will last a lifetime!

I have one. Its decent for packing an animal a couple miles but thyoe suspension isn't very good. We made a bag for it and took it on the high hunt and it was probably the worst pack I have ever used in that situation. If your only going a couple miles its ok but if your going any distance I would look at a barney bag, arcteryx bora, or something along those lines. You can usually get a bora for a good price on craigs list I would sell my pack to if anyone is interested.

Great pack for packing meat and all but for the guy who goes in to the backcountry and uses his internal frame backpack for gettin' his stuff out it's kind of useless...
